Our Green Party Supplies are both biodegradable and compostable. This means that when thrown in the regular garbage, these plates, cups & utensils will naturally biodegrade over time. These biodegradable tableware products replace non-biodegradable plastic and styrofoam products that will NOT biodegrade and will fill our landfills... FOREVER.
The "compostable" distinction means that in a commercial composting facility, these products can be transformed into compost that will be used to nourish the soil and all that grows in it. These products, along with the food on them, can be commercially composted eliminating waste completely! This is the ultimate goal for these products. The hope is that when enough people choose to use these compostable products, it will necessitate a separate waste stream, and "compostable" items will be gathered curb side just like your trash, recycling and green waste - and sent to city supported commercial composting facilities. I can't wait for the day!!!
